Hello and welcome to Mellow Pop Mixtapes.
The idea of this blog is to post mixtapes of songs I find to be perfect. It's as simple as that.
Mixtapes that flow and that are filled to the brim with melody.
They will consist mostly of songs in the vein of mellow pop (but not limited to) and songs I can listen to on repeat. Songs that I like on first listen, but songs that I don't tire of. Songs that are rich enough they keep unravelling themselves over time.
I'm talking about those rare pop gems you stumble upon every once in a while that just make you think, "This is fucking beautiful".
But musical taste is subjective right? Yes, but I think there are songs that can be loved by everyone. There are melodies perfect enough to sink right into anyone's heart and provide the soundtrack to the ups and downs, the summer nights and the cold winter mornings.
The songs that I find that fit the above description I will post here.
I’ll update this blog sporadically. Sometimes I’ll wait until I’ve compiled a new mix, other times I’ll post a song as I hear it.
